Managing Experience: About 5 years combined.
During 2013-2014, I worked as a "Meeting Services Specialist" at Mohegan Sun Casino / Convention Center.
Working closely with both the Sales Manager and Client/Guest to provide a seamless experience, I gathered details and information from the clients to take an idea and turn it into a reality, while meeting budget restrictions from the them and maximizing profit for the company. This position also worked as a liaison between the client/guest and internal operating units, serving as a “point” person to answer questions, solve conflicts/disputes, take care of last minute needs, ensure the safety of the guests and employees, and provide solid financial results.
ABOUT ME
During Fiscal Year 2014, profit totals were twice as much as reported in 2013 and consistent with what was earned in 2011 and 2012 combined!
This was a very demanding position with long hours requiring availability from early morning to late evening, often 7 days a week. The extremely demanding schedule and requirement to support 7 managers with different events happening simultaneously, led me to resign in late 2014 and transfer to the Mohegan Sun's Banquets Department. I left the company after 12 years to care for my newborn son and 2 other kids.
